Alton Taekwon-Do originally opened it doors back in 2008 and first started teaching classes at Alton Sports Centre. The club was an immediate success and went from strength to strength. But with the old sports centre slowly falling apart around them, the club eventually moved on. Training continued from various venues around the town until moving into its very own full-time centre (at Energique Health Club).
WAKO Kickboxing, Ladeis Only classes and private 1 to 1 sessions were all added to the timetable and all taught by chief instructor Paul Adams, who continued to run Aldershot Taekwon-Do at the same time. At the end of 2023 with the years ticking by, Paul finally decided to slow down, closing the full-time centre and reverting back to just teaching his base martial art of Taekwon-Do. Eggars school is now it's chosen home.
To date, the club has produced many black belts with a fair few going on to represent England at international level. Chief instructor Paul Adams, helped produce World and European champions when he spent several years as a National Team coach before opening the full time centre. The club is still involved in high level national and international compeition.
We have a dedicated number of asisstant instructors and teaching assistants who help run our classes and the club continues to work to a very high standard, whilst maintaining fun sessions. Our youngest students are four years old with our elderst in their sixties! Taekwon-Do is for everyone, so if you'd like to know more, do get in touch. We are a very friendly club and we'd love to hear from you.
